I hope everyone has managing to get in as much cycling in as I have this week. I have to say that the Coal Road and Gawthrop, twice in 3 days did have my knees grumbling a bit, but the views make it so worthwhile. I have also found a new favourite post ride snack – Pineapple, I actually think it may be addictive!

Since our last blog we have been over to Eroica Britania the amazing vintage bike festival in Bakewell. Eroica has the most amazing crowd who bring along a fantastic array of vintage bikes and vintage bike parts. Everyone gets dressed in the best vintage outfits and has a jolly good time with lots of Hendricks Gin and super yummy food.

Cyclista shared a stand again this year with ‘France en Velo’ a stunning bike route which goes from San Marlo to Nice on picturesque quiet roads. The book is full of fabulous photography and recommendations on where to stay, eat and what to see on the route. It’s broken down in to around 20 mile sections and you can add as many of these together as you fancy. Most people take between 2 and 3 weeks to complete the route, but the beauty of the book is it’s totally up to you how long you take.

On the stand this year we had the full range of Cyclista Kit including our Ladies Bib-shorts, Ladies Cycle Capri’s, Ladies Cycle Leggings and our 4 different Cycle Jerseys in all their lovely different colours. We met loads of lovely Cycling ladies over the course of the weekend and you may see a few of them out this summer wearing their new Cyclista Kit.

The entertainment at Eroica is brilliant with events happening in the parade ring over the weekend and live music and a great selection of food and drinks. If you are looking for a great family friendly weekend away for next year this is the festival for you.

Happy Cycling xx
