Thanks for visiting Cyclista, at Cyclista we sell a range of technical ladies cycle wear that can be worn alone or with any other part of the Cyclista women’s cycle wear collection to enable you to have a capsule sports wardrobe. We understand the need to look and feel great and have used this as the foundation of our range.

At Cyclista we understand that women want cycle wear that has been designed to perform brilliantly, look flattering and elegant and feel great. Cyclista is based in Cumbria and all our products have been designed and manufactured in the UK.

All Cyclista cycle wear is made from premium quality Italian fabrics which have been chosen for their specific properties whether that’s perfect stretch and shape recovery, compression or thermal properties.

We launched in June 2015, with 3 ladies cycle jerseys, and ladies bib-shorts. Since then we have added to the range ladies bib-capri’s, Compression Leggings and very recently a 2016 cycle jersey.

We are available to buy in Blue Giraffe Bicycles, in Middlesbrough, where Chris is working away to get more Ladies and Kids into cycling and organises great women’s rides on a Monday evening. If you are local to the area, they are really welcoming and friendly rides that take in the quiet local roads, with lovely scenery and lots of chatting.

In Clitheroe the Beacon Bike shop stock the Cyclista range in their newly extended shop. If you are in the area you really should take a look. Darrin and the team have undergone major expansion from their old site which was damaged by the December flooding, so have relocated and built a massive multi-sport store, complete with bike show room, endless pool, ladies cycle kit zone, men’s kit zone, turbo studio and not forgetting the Cafe. We are so excited to have the kit in such an amazing retail outlet.

We sponsor several local events and work along side Mytrievents and Epic Events who organise sportives, triathlons, duathlons, run and swim events in the north. They are friendly local event organisers who run enjoyable and challenging events in beautiful places.

About Cyclista

We started the design process by looking at how, as a female cyclist, you want your cycle wear to look and feel instead of looking at what was already available. Our aim is to create  a fresh looking and feeling range of women's cycle wear. Once the designs had been signed off we spent months testing fabrics, trimmings and cuts to ensure we created the best performing and fitting ladies cycle wear. Cyclista fabrics are shipped from Italy and have been chosen for their amazing technical properties and attractive colour ways. We have also sourced chamois and zips from Italy and found an elastic and label supplier closer to home in the UK. The cyclista pattern cutting has taken place in Cumbria and Cambridge with the grading (sizing) being done in London. The manufacturing is happening in Cumbria just an hour away from home and we are so happy to be able to support the UK cycling industry.

Emily Clarke CyclistaI am a keen cyclist and triathlete. I have completed over sprint and Olympic distance in triathlon and time trial most weeks in summer and swap to the mountain or cross bike for the winter. I have also ridden sportives and spend most of my spare time in the saddle on one bike or another. I have been cycling for 8 years and have always bought men's kit, as I have never found the fit on women's right -  just a smaller version of the mens in a different colour (usually pink) !

During a long car journey following another unsuccessful google search for new cycle kit I would actually want to wear, I decided that I’d had enough and was going to make my own. Since then I have been working with a local designer to make great looking kit, getting fabric, elastic, zip and chamois samples from around Europe,  getting the patterns cut and the kit made up at a factory in Cumbria. I have tried to keep the entire process as close to home and as possible and am proud to say that Cyclista products are all made in the UK.

We would love to hear what you think about our range, so feel free to email us your feedback. Our entire design and production team are UK based, so we are able to improve our collections and are keen to make our kit the best you have ever worn.
